What did you enjoy about this book?
We believe in our country. He likes things neat and orderly. He loves deep. Wanted his child to stand on his own. The ability to take charge and lead.

What are some of the major themes of this book?
Driven..... Protected his country. Tried to protect his children. Survived in prison. Did not turn into a horrible man in prison. Smart and cunning.

Who was your favorite character? What did you appreciate about him/her?
Maxwell the chief of police working with convicted killer Richard. Both good men. Trying to do the right thing.

At the end of the book, do you feel hope for the characters?
I do feel a lot of hope for them.
