Helga: Out of Hedgelands (Wood Cow Chronicles, #1)Helga: Out of Hedgelands by Rick Johnson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Was the book description accurate? "Helga never intended to lead a revolution." These were the words that sparked my interest when I started to read the book. And when you realise how young Helga is, and the task she has before her, the book just blows you away. Yes, the description was accurate and the story was even better.

How did you feel about the opening / ending sequences of the book? To be honest, I preferred the middle more than the opening or ending sequences. The reader sees Helga in her element and becomes torn between sympathy and pride. You feel every emotion that she feels, and that is what I call excellent writing skills.

Was this book worth reading? Yes, whether you are 8 or 80, this book will hold your attention and I definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking to escape into a faraway land.

Disclosure - I received a complimentary copy from the author which did not affect my honest opinion.
