Is the Seawater Always Blue?Is the Seawater Always Blue? by Shabana Dastageer Muhajir
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I know children love to experiment and ask questions about the world they are in, my nephews and nieces ask the strangest of questions, always to satisfy their curiosity. Many things about this book I liked. It discussed a simple theory about sea water in an easy to understand manner. This book serves as an excellent resource for parents and homeschoolers.

The presentation however can be much better. If you look at my previous reviews, I am highly critical of book covers for the simple reason, I do not know the author. I do not know anything about the book. The one thing I have as a deciding factor about the book is the cover and only then do I choose to read the description.

In this case, the author has likely taken one of her own photos, resized it in Microsoft Word, plonked text on it and called it a cover. No. Just no. The end result is that the children on the cover look like the aliens from the TV Series, Taken.

You have poured your heart and soul into a work to be showcased to the rest of the world or at least 9 countries by Amazon’s standards, please for all that is holy, have a good eye-catching cover. The cat man knows for a fact that a good book cover won’t cost you an arm and a leg and that he is not the only one who is so pedantic about book covers.
